Kilbane is a small residential locality on the eastern side of Limerick city, within easy reach of Ballysimon, Castletroy, Drombanna and the Old Singland Road area. Its V94 location places it close to the city’s eastern suburbs, the University of Limerick and major road connections, while remaining primarily a local neighbourhood rather than a standalone town centre.
Area character
A suburban, mainly residential area with a convenient east-city location. Kilbane benefits from proximity to established communities, employment and education centres, with a mix of housing and nearby retail and leisure provision; a car is useful, although city bus services are available in surrounding areas.
