Buttevant is a historic market town in north County Cork, situated on the N20 corridor between Mallow and Charleville. It lies within the P51 Eircode routing area and provides a local service base for surrounding villages and rural communities, including Churchtown, Kilbrin and Ballyclogh. The town is known for its medieval heritage, including the remains of Buttevant Franciscan Friary and nearby castle ruins.
