Description

(Reference number: 555257) This eighteenth-century former hunting lodge sits within the 14,500-acre Glenshiel Estate filled with the most quintessentially Scottish countryside — mountains, rivers, forests, the lot. The host will help you make the most of this wonderful landscape by helping to arrange activities, such as fishing, foraging, pony treks and hikes, or cookery classes and yoga if you prefer to stay inside. Whatever you choose to do, you can look forward to long evenings in a home designed primarily for cosiness. As well as three open fires for warming up cold hands, guests can also take advantage of the country-style kitchen with an Aga and a selection of rolltop bathtubs. If you really don't feel like lifting a finger during your stay, there's a team of chefs that can arrange the week's menu using locally foraged ingredients and housekeepers to cater to every whim. When the sun makes an appearance — or you're feeling suitably warmed up after a dram or two — there's a hot tub in the garden, which also has children's play equipment and a barbecue. The Isle of Skye sits twenty minutes' drive away if you fancy a day trip, too. Home truths: *The lodge comes with the option of being fully catered or self-catered —there's also a team of gamekeepers, housekeepers and gillies *There's a neighbouring coach house that can be rented out for additional guests — let the host know beforehand if you'd like to use this *A cot, high chair and stair gates can be provided if required *Local beauticians, yoga teachers and private caterers can be arranged on request *All the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper floor, so it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility . Thinking of selling? We have the right buyers if you have the right property. Five Star International - Targeted global audience Tel: +353 (0)1 566 8494 Email: admin@fivestar.ie
